As Vice-President, I’ve organized my co-workers through example and leadership.

 

I originally hired into BART as a Utility Worker and after (8) years, I joined the TVM Upgrade Program and promoted into TVM.  Going forward, I will continue pushing for more training opportunities for our members.

 

During the 2013 negotiations, as Utility Chief Steward, I joined the Contract Action Team and helped to lead (2) successful strike actions; we mobilized and together we won a fair contract.

 

I served on the Contract Extension Teams of 2024,2022,2020, and 2017; where we negotiated fair wage increases and successfully protected our contract thru June 30th, 2027.

 

I am currently elected to the SEIU 1021 E-Board, as Special Districts Chair.  I serve on the IPC Investment Plans Committee and I am part of the New Hire Orientation.

 

I am fighting for workers’ rights, advocating for members by traveling to Sacramento, and regularly participating in political actions and rallies.

 

I am running for re-election so I can continue to empower our members, and protect our jobs; together we will win a fair contract again in 2027.
