I am running for re-election because I believe in the Labor Movement and I want to encourage participation.

 

As a member of the 2024, 2022, and 2020 Contract Extension Team, I ensured that all members were fully represented for a fair and equitable Contract.

 

I’m a TVM at the Richmond Shop; previously, I worked as a United Airlines Technician and worked for a contractor with the U.S. Military.

 

During my (20) years at BART, I’ve been highly active in the Union.  I’m the Co-Chair of the New Hire Committee and I serve on numerous safety committees.

 

During 2013 Negotiations, I joined the CAT-Contract Action Team; where I organized events such as leafleting, unity breaks, and Purple T-shirt days; I served as a strike captain and manned the command center during our (2) strikes (in July and October.)

 

I’ve traveled to Sacramento several times, on behalf of the Union, to help lobby regarding laws and measures affecting SEIU members. 

 

As Sergeant-at-Arms, I will continue to do my best to ensure equal treatment District-wide and, ultimately, to negotiate and win the best possible contract in 2027.
